How Much: FREE ADMISSION for all, thanks to this year's generous sponsors.
Why: Proceeds will benefit our new “Library of Things.” Who says libraries should only loan books? Roxbury Library is expanding its collection to include STEAM/Robotics kits, WiFi hotspots, tech, tools, & other helpful items.
The 2020 Makers Carnival & Mini Golf is free for attendees but is funded by a number of local businesses and organizational sponsors. Sponsorship proceeds from the 2020 event will fund the creation and maintenance of an extensive Library of Things which will be accessible to all Roxbury patrons! To all our sponsors: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thanks to companies/organizations below, we are able to make the event 100% free for anyone who wants to participate. That means more families will be able to enjoy themselves and the company of friends/neighbors, regardless of financial disposition.

Library of Things?
The Makers Carnival & Mini Golf (formerly just Mini Golf in the Library) will fund a dream project that is otherwise unattainable with our operating budget or through the Friends' regular income streams.
2020'S DREAM PROJECT IS THE MOST AMBITIOUS YET!
Who says the library should only lend books and movies? What if you could borrow a check engine code reader so you can find out what's wrong with your car before you go to the mechanic? What if you could borrow a mobile projector for that big presentation? What if you could sample a ukulele before paying for lessons?
Borrowing such things from the library may seem strange, but if you think about it it's really just an extension of what the public library already does. Libraries are the ultimate democratizing institutions. You don't each need to purchase thousands of books and expensive databases--the publicly funded library does so on behalf of all its community members and all its community members get to share in the bounty. There's no reason why the bounty can't extend beyond the traditional...that is, things we read, listen to, and watch,
Here is a sample of items we hope to stock in our future library of things which will be available for borrowing!
