Do Business with the Library

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: 

February 2026


The Roxbury Public Library is requesting quotations to provide 5-day/week janitorial services for its facility. 


Required services:  

  • Empty all trash and recycling containers into appropriate dumpsters in library parking lot  Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, including 2 high-traffic public restrooms  
  • Restock paper products and soap in bathrooms  
  • Clean hard surface floors  
  • Vacuum carpeted floors  
  • Clean glass doors at entrance  
  • Weekly dusting of surfaces and windowsills  
  • Quarterly window cleaning; inside and out  
  • Other occasional cleaning as assigned  
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and notify Library Director when stores need to be replenished

Other Requirements:  

  • Bonded and insured  
  • Willing and able to accommodate library’s service hours by having most work completed prior to doors opening to public 
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8pm
    • Saturday 3pm
