Innovation Skills Accelerator - NJ Office of Innovation: The Innovation Skills Accelerator is a free, online program to train public entrepreneurs to use innovative methods, including design thinking, evidence-based decision making and collective intelligence, to solve public problems.

New Jersey Business Records Service: Provides access to the status and business address(es) of New Jersey registered business entities. Searchable by business name, principal name (officer/director, manager, etc.), registered agent or entity ID. Browsing is free, status reports incur a charge. Maintained by the NJ Division of Revenue & Enterprise Services.

New Jersey Small Business Development Centers: The New Jersey Small Business Development Centers (NJSBDC) delivers management consulting and training programs to entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses as well as more advanced services to high-impact, growth-oriented businesses  NJSBDC Regional Offices

SBA - Write a Business Plan: The Small Business Administration offers step-by-step assistance with writing business plans, including sample business plans. Their Build Your Business Plan tool allows you to write your own business plan (free registration is required).
SCORE - Business Plan Resources: SCORE is a nonprofit association helping small businesses. SCORE offers business plan templates, as well as webinars and additional resources on business planning.
Bplans.com - Free Samples: Bplans offers over 500 example business plans. Sample business plans are organized by category so that you can choose the closest to your own business or industry.
Business Model Canvas - Strategyzer: A one page business plan template that you can use to describe, design, challenge, and pivot your business model.

New Jersey Small Business Profile: The Office of Advocacy’s Small Business Profiles are an annual analysis of each state’s small business activities. Each profile gathers the latest information from key federal data-gathering agencies to provide a snapshot of small business health and economic activity.
US Small Business Administration (SBA): The SBA website provides many resources for small businesses including: a business start-up kit, financing and loan information, links to local assistance, and much more.
USA.gov - Small Business: This website allows users to search business resources from 24 U.S. government websites. It offers a wealth of information on all small business topics, including assistance and advice on business taxes, financing, importing/exporting, and government contracts. Local business resources can be searched by state or territory.
IRS - Starting a Business: The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) provides links to basic federal tax information for people who are starting a business, as well as information to assist in making basic business decisions.

Business Training and Mentorship Organizations

SCORE: The Service Corp of Retired Executives is a volunteer association sponsored by the SBA. They provide expert advice on any business management topic.
Women's Center for Entrepreneurship Corporation: The Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship [WCEC] helps elevate women to business success through education, counseling, mentoring and entrepreneurial training.
Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (CUEED): CUEED’s economic development initiatives focus on assisting entrepreneurs to sustain and grow their businesses and thus create wealth within their communities.
UCEDC: UCEDC is a private non-profit Community Development Financial Institution that fosters economic growth. They provide financial and technical assistance to new and existing businesses with emphasis on benefiting under-served people and communities.
NJIT Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC): NJIT Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provides free counseling in addition to training and technical resources to New Jersey-based businesses. They help businesses navigate the procurement process to better identify viable sourcing opportunities in the government and private sector marketplaces.
U.S. Export Assistance Centers: There are no USEACs located in New Jersey; the closest are in Philadelphia and New York. These centers provide advice to first-time exporters and also run the Export Working Capital Program which helps small businesses export.

Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey: Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey is a network of businesses committed to improving and advancing the cause of free enterprise in the Garden State.
New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners: NJAWBO's primary objective is to support and encourage business ownership by women. Since 1978, NJAWBO has helped women achieve their business visions by providing them with the tools to develop and grow their enterprises.
New Jersey Business and Industry Association: NJBIA provides information, services and advocacy to its member companies in order to build a more prosperous New Jersey. They are the nation’s largest statewide employer association.
New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association: New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association provides support, education and advocacy for owners and operators of restaurants, lodging establishments, and entertainment destinations throughout the Garden State.
New Jersey Technology and Manufacturing Association: NJTMA creates programs and services that help their businesses grow and prosper as well as provide support and encouragement to the New Jersey manufacturing industry.

EDGAR: The Securities and Exchange Commission’s EDGAR database provides free public access to corporate information, allowing you to quickly research a company’s financial information and operations by reviewing registration statements, prospectuses and periodic reports filed on Forms 10-K and 10-Q. You also can find information about recent corporate events reported on Form 8-K.

NJ GIS Open Data: This website provides access to many of New Jersey's spatial datasets, allowing users to search, query and download filtered or complete records for each dataset. Users can search by location, organization, or category. Categories include government boundaries, land use, transportation, utilities, and more.
