Travel back in time, to the 1820s and after, for a west-east journey of the Morris Canal that starts at Lake Musconetcong, and ends at Lock 2 East in Wharton (the border of Roxbury Twp is just above the head of the lock), and along the way, it covers Port Morris, Lake Hopatcong and its involvement with the development and abandonment of the canal (via George Macculloch and Hudson Maxim), Landing, Shippenport, Ledgewood, Kenvil, Lower Berkshire Valley and finally Lock 2 East. It covers many aspects of history beyond just the story of the canal, and contains lots and lots of historic photos.
