Meet with a small group to explore the basics of American Sign Language.
Group will meet at the large back table in the back corner of the library. Open to adults and teens 12+ who register in advance.
Prerequisite: Download the Mango Languages app on your phone/device using your Roxbury Library card and choose American Sign Language (ASL) as the language you want to learn. Contact a library staff member if you need assistance with this. Meet your learning ally: Doris Lembo is a Roxbury resident. She has been a high school math teacher for 25 years and counting. While she doesn’t teach ASL, she recently went back to school to begin learning how to sign. She’s excited to explore ASL with you using the Mango app.
