About the Presenter: Leonard J.C. Hardesty, Jr. Esq. is an attorney with an office in Ledgewood, New Jersey. His practice focuses on assisting seniors and their families plan with confidence by focusing his practice on Medicaid planning and long-term care strategies, estate planning, and probate/estate administration. He works with clients to protect assets and qualify for Medicaid when appropriate, and prepares clear, practical planning documents—wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advanced medical directives—so wishes are honored and loved ones are protected. When a death occurs, he guides families step-by-step through the probate process and administering the estate, helping them settle matters efficiently and with as little stress as possible.
About the Presenter: As Director of Business Development for Merry Heart Senior Services, Daisy Badillo is passionate about educating seniors and their families on making informed decisions about aging and long-term care. With her experience in admissions and senior living, she specializes in guiding individuals and families through the process of understanding Assisted Living - what it is, what services it offers, and how it differs from a nursing home. This workshop will focus on who may qualify for an Assisted Living, when it is the right time to start considering it and the importance of planning ahead. She also emphasizes the critical role of having vital legal documents in place, such as Power of Attorney and the value of elder care legal services to help protect both the seniors and their loved ones.
