Computer programming knowledge boosts any resume. This beginner-friendly class for teens/adults covers the basics of Java & Object Orientation into intermediate & advanced concepts.
This is a free virtual class starting in August and going till the end of the year, with new online assignments posted each Sunday. Please follow the sign up steps below.
Why Java? This is a super beginner-friendly computer programming class with an incredible online community and support. Java is extremely versatile and used in Android App Development, Web Development and databases. Java shares many similarities with C#, javascript, C++ and many other languages, and Java professionals are in extreme demand across the software industry, with salaries often breaking $100,000+.
About the Instructor: Jayson Meribe has 4 years of programming experience in Unity Game Development with C#, Android Development, C++ with Arduino, and Java. He is currently a Junior at Roxbury High School, and achieved an A+ in AP Computer Science as well as a 5 on the AP exam. He hopes to spread his knowledge to others, as well as, promote software development in the community.
