Youth Summer Reading

How it works:

Babies - 4 year olds

(please note: 4 year olds may also join the K-6th grade program if preferred!)
  • Sign up now by clicking here
  • Print out a log sheet with the link on the registration page, or click here
  • On the back of the log sheet, you'll find a list of activities you can do with your child. Each day you do one of these activities, cross out the date on the calendar
  • For every 5 days that you and your child do at least one of the activities, they'll earn a prize (up to seven prizes per child) and get an entry into a raffle
  • At the end of each month (June, July, and August), let us know the number of activities you and your child have done by clicking here.
  • Once you've logged the number of activities, come to the library to pick up the prizes your child has earned! (please call the library when you arrive)

Going into Kindergarten-6th grade

  • Sign up now by clicking here. When you sign up, choose how many minutes will count for a day of reading.
  • Print out a log sheet with the link on the registration page, or click here
  • Each day you meet your reading goal, cross out the date on the calendar
  • For every day you meet your reading goal, you earn a bead!
  • For every 5 days that you meet your reading goal, you get an entry into a raffle
  • At the end of each month (June, July, and August), let us know the number of days met your reading goal by clicking here
  • Once you've logged the number of days, come to the library to pick up the prizes you've earned! (please call the library when you arrive)

Going into 7th-12th grade

  • Sign up now by clicking here
  • Read! Each time you finish a book, click here to log it
  • For every book you read, you get an entry into a raffle of your choice!
  • For every 5 books you read, you get to choose a free book to keep (when the library reopens)
