For one young man, growing up in Arizona in the years after World War II has been interesting. Transfixed by film, he tries to see life from several different angles. It's not long, though, before he discovers a family secret that threatens to shatter all of the ideals that he holds dear. In a world that is rapidly expanding and seeming to want to forget the past, the Fabelmans must decide how they fit in, or if they even want to.
Young Sammy Fabelman falls in love with movies after his parents take him to see "The Greatest Show on Earth." Armed with a camera, Sammy starts to make his own films at home, much to the delight of his supportive mother.
