Performing a mix of traditional, folk, Celtic, popular and seasonal music, the sound of Skylands Dulcimer String Band has been described as "unique," eclectic," relaxing," "inspiring," dynamic," and "original." Typical Celtic set music includes: St.Anne's Reel/Morpeth's Rant, Julia Delany/Morrison's Jig, Star of the County Down, Wearing of the Green/Loch Lomond, Maggie Brown's Favorite/Galway Girl, Wild Rover, When Irish Eyes are Smiling.
The five person ensemble consists of:
Donna Traylor; Hammered Dulcimer and Celtic Harp.
Don Traylor; Mountain Dulcimer, Banjammer, Bodhran and Tin Whistle.
George Nixon; Hammered Dulcimer, Irish Bouzouki, Bowed Psaltery, Bodhran.
Bob Taylor; Electric Bass and Hammered Dulcimer.
Lew Shafer; Six and Twelve String Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo and Vocals.
