Within a short driving distance there are hundreds of public gardens, offering an incredible variety of plants & designs. Explore a range of pocket size gardens to multi-acre arboretums.
What may be a surprise to many Morris County residents is that within a short driving distance there are hundreds of public gardens. Most of them are free and offer an incredible variety of plants and designs. In some instances, these gardens were once part of private estates. The original mansion may be open for viewing. This presentation covers a range of gardens from pocket size to multi-acre arboretums. Pictures are shown of each garden along with access information and the speaker’s highly subjective rating. A list of all local gardens will be distributed.
Presented by Rutgers Master Gardener Bill Moran. All programs are made possible by the Friends of the Roxbury Public Library.
