About the Presenter: Marty Kane grew up as a summer resident on Lake Hopatcong and has served as President of the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum since 1990 and on the board -- currently as Chair -- of the Lake Hopatcong Foundation since its founding in 2012. He is the author of several local history books and co-author, with his wife Laura, of the award-winning documentary Greetings from Bertrand Island. Marty also serves as president of the Seward Park High School Alumni Association, the Morris County Historic Preservation Board, Morris County Heritage Commission, LHYC Historical Foundation, and Mountain Lakes Planning Board. He retired in 2016 from Picatinny Arsenal, and currently owns Helrick’s Custom Framing.
